Dubai United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Egyptian star Mohamed Salah pledged to do everything in his power to return as soon as possible after starting the treatment and rehabilitation program following the injury he suffered in the match against Ghana in the African Cup of Nations. He sent a message to his critics in which he affirmed his love for his country and added, saying: “Try harder.”
Salah wrote on his accounts on social media platforms: “Yesterday I started the treatment and rehabilitation program and I will do everything possible to be ready as soon as possible and return to the national team as was agreed upon from the beginning.”
The Liverpool FC star added: “I also love it and its people… Try harder,” he said.
In the same post, Salah published a picture of his participation against the Russian national team in the 2018 World Cup when he was returning from the injury he suffered in the Champions League final match against Real Madrid.
Salah was subjected to a wave of criticism from media figures and former Egyptian players after it was announced that he had left the Egyptian national team mission in Ivory Coast to undergo treatment in Liverpool.
