Amritsar: The Punjab government is likely to report to the Center today on the security breach during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit. The Home Ministry had sought a report from the state on the incident where the Prime Minister’s vehicle was stuck on the road for more than 15 minutes due to protests by farmers. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said there was no security breach. The state explained that it had quickly decided to make the Prime Minister’s trip a road trip. SPG is also preparing a report on the incident.
Political allegations between the BJP and the Congress over the incident continue. ‘The Prime Minister’s convoy was blocked after protesters stabbed him.
