Egyptian international star Mohamed Salah announced, on Wednesday, that he will continue with Liverpool next season.
In an open press conference dedicated to the Champions League final, which will bring together Liverpool and Real Madrid in Paris next Saturday, the Egyptian star confirmed that all his focus is on winning the prestigious title for the second time in his career, following the first with Liverpool in particular in 2019, when his team defeated Tottenham with two clean goals.
“I don’t want to talk regarding renewing the contract,” Salah said. “I will definitely stay here next season, it depends on the team.”
“I don’t want to be selfish, it’s regarding the team at the moment, it’s a very important week for us,” added the 29-year-old, who once once more became the Premier League’s top scorer.
And he added, “We have plenty of time to talk regarding the issue of extending the contract.”
