Mon Parent residences closed

By Claude-Helene Desrosiers

ELDERS. It would seem that the Mon Parent residences for the elderly, located near the Sainte-Croix hospital, are closed.

The resident parking lot is deserted. The rooms that can be seen are also empty.

At the Ministry of Health and Social Services, the Mon Parent residences no longer appear on the list of accredited resources.

According to the information available at the Registraire des entreprises du Québec, the company was deregistered following a merger with a company numbered 1is last December. Since then, it has gone from a residential service for the elderly to a management company.

According to information obtained by L’Express, the building might become a student residence. Neither this information nor that regarding the closure might be confirmed, with calls remaining unanswered at the time of this writing.
