Ort: Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, USA
First broadcast: September 11, 2023
Audience: sold out

“Monday Night RAW” begins with “Main Event” Jey Uso making his way into the ring and being mic’d up. It feels good to be out of Bloodline and now on Raw. Before he can continue, Kevin Owens comes out. KO corrects Uso. This is now on the Kevin Owens Show. He knows what Uso is currently going through. He also had falling outs with a lot of people and it took him a long time to earn the respect of some people in the locker room again. But at least Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn are already on his side. To convince Owens, Uso still has to do a lot. This brings Judgment Day onto the scene, but without Rhea Ripley. Finn Balor says Judgment Day already respects Jey Uso and Owens doesn’t speak for her. Damian Priest offers Uso a spot in Judgment Day. It also took Dominik Mysterio a while to decide on her and the door is always open. Mysterio tries to drown out the booing crowd until Priest takes over again. He wants to know where Sami Zayn is since Owens came out alone. KO confirms that Zayn won’t be there today, but he’s ready to fight Judgment Day as is. Uso doesn’t need to be told twice and offers to be a tag team partner for Owens, which he accepts and the two immediately attack the three Judgment Day members.

1. Match
Tag Team Match
The Judgment Day (Finn Balor & Damian Priest w/ Dominik Mysterio) win against Kevin Owens & Jey Uso via pinfall after the coup de grace of Balor and Owens.
Match time: 12:25
– Dominik Mysterio intervened during the match, but these did not have any far-reaching consequences.
– At the end of the match, Uso accidentally hit Owens with a superkick, which ended the match. Owens was clearly not happy about this.

Building on Rhea Ripley’s absence from the previous match, a look back at her title defense against Raquel Rodriguez at Payback is shown. Today there will be a rematch with Dominik Mysterio banned from ringside. Backstage we see Rodriguez warming up. Natalia comes over and exchanges a few words with her.

Kevin Owens and Jey Uso meet backstage. Uso tries to apologize, but Owens is pretty angry and tells Uso to find a new bloodline.

We get a flashback to Gunther’s title defense against Chad Gable from last week. He arrives backstage with his empire buddies in a Mercedes and a suit to celebrate his historic title reign later in the evening.

2. Match
Singles Match
The Miz won against Akira Tozawa via pinfall after three Skull Crushing Finales in a row.
Match time: 03:11

Byron Saxton welcomes Raquel Rodriguez backstage for the interview. Rodriguez acknowledges that Rhea Ripley has dominated the women’s division so far, but now Rodriguez has a challenger who can’t just keep up with her. She is sure that she will win the title today.

Shayna Baszler can also be briefly interviewed. She was definitely impressed by Zoey Stark. Chelsea Green comes along looking for a day partner. However, Baszler doesn’t see Green on the same level as himself and would rather have a match against her than with her. As soon as Baszler leaves, Piper Niven stands behind Green and takes one of the tag team titles with the comment that she has been cleared by the doctors again.

Back in the arena, it’s time for Gunther and Imperium. Gunther first speaks in German and says that he has written history. He then switches back to English and announces that he now officially has the longest Intercontinental Championship reign of all time. The fans didn’t contribute anything. In addition, he is slowly running out of worthy opponents, so he will probably have to defend himself. This calls out Chad Gable. He congratulates Gunther on his win last week. The champion allows Gable into the ring so they can talk. Gable remembers the tears that Gunther caused Gable’s daughter to cry. This lit a fire in him and he is sure that he can defeat Gunther again. He will win the title and his daughter will leave the show with a smile. Gunther asks if Gable is confident about flying to his family again, only to subject them to the same disappointment again. Gable is a terrible father. This doesn’t go down well with him at all and he attacks Gunther, which also brings Imperium back in. To even the numbers, Otis comes out and then Tommaso Ciampa comes out with a chair to save Gable.

We see a flashback to the simmering conflict between Drew McIntyre, Riddle and The New Day. Earlier in the evening, Xavier Woods found McIntyre backstage. McIntyre apologizes again for last week, but Woods wants to know why McIntyre is bashing Kingston. He says that if Kingston has a problem, he can come over himself, but Woods doesn’t let up and asks if McIntyre is jealous of Kingston because he won his championship in front of 82,000 fans and Drew only won his in front of an empty Performance Center. This led to the upcoming match scheduling.

Alpha Academy and Tommaso Ciampa are backstage with Jackie Redmond. Ciampa says Adam Pearce told him to find his moment and that’s exactly what he did. Gable is angry. He hates Gunther. Otis suggests a 6-man tag team match. Gable is there, but Ciampa leaves the scene without comment. But Gable believes he is there too.

3. Match
Singles Match
Drew McIntyre won against Xaiver Woods via pinfall after the claymore.
Match time: 09:35

Now we also see Rhea Ripley preparing backstage for her upcoming match. This will be the main event today.

Cody Rhodes comes out in a suit and gets a microphone. Cody wants to talk about Jey Uso, but is immediately interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, who comes out accompanied by JD McDonagh. Mysterio is happy that Rhodes brought Jey Uso to Raw to join Judgment Day. Mysterio annoys Rhodes a bit by fiddling with his tie, for which he receives a punch. McDonagh comes to Mysterio’s aid, but catches a Cross Rhodes and Mysterio gets another one too.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre meets Jey Uso and explains that he also has a score to settle with him. Uso isn’t surprised by this. McIntyre says Uso can join Judgment Day, but before that they’ll settle their conflict next week.

4. Match
Singles Match
Shayna Baszler won against Chelsea Green (w/ Piper Niven) via pinfall after the Exterminatus (Pipers Pit).
Match time: 01:47
– After the match, Niven attacked Baszler, but Zoey Stark came out and Niven retreated due to the numerical inferiority.

Next up is a hype video for Shinsuke Nakamura.

Back in the arena, Seth Rollins comes into the ring. After letting the fans celebrate for a while, as always, he greets those present and introduces himself to everyone about his title. He is also a liar and a deceiver, as Nakamura claims in his hype video. But he is also a father and the World Heavyweight Champion. It took him a while to figure out who he was, so he surrounded himself with bad people in the past. But now he is himself. Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Because of the fans, he can now be proud of himself and look his daughter in the eyes at home. Even if management would prefer him to take a step back, he still wants to fight. After all, he is the driving force of the WWE. Nakamura declined the rematch last week, but this week he offered it again. Nakamura’s song plays, but it doesn’t come out. Instead, what we see on screen is Nakamura attacking Ricochet backstage. He then says he’ll get Rollins’ title, but not today. Rollins is visibly upset about this.

Finn Balor meets Jey Uso backstage. He says he has no grudge against him. What happened in the ring stays in the ring. But the same doesn’t seem to apply to Kevin Owens. And Drew McIntyre is also not a fan of Uso. But Balor is a fan. And Damian Priest. And Dominik Mysterio. And Rhea Ripley. Judgment Day would welcome Uso.

5. Match
6-Mann Tag Team Match
Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis w/ Maxxine Dupri) & Tommaso Ciampa won against Imerium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser & Giovanni Vinci) via submission via the ankle lock from Chad Gable to Giovanni Vinci.
Match time: 13:07

Judgment Day is gathered backstage and they’re sure Jey Uso will join them at some point. After all, it worked with Dominik Mysterio. He is a little sad that he can’t get Rhea Ripley to her match today, but she is sure that she can sort out her affairs on her own.

With Adam Pearce is NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, who isn’t thrilled. Becky Lynch arrives and Stratton asks her why Lynch wants her title. Stratton did nothing to deserve this. Lynch said Stratton showed up on Raw several times and wanted her attention. She may be very athletic, but also stupid. Therefore, Lynch will now give her attention and make her famous in NXT tomorrow if she wins the title. Lynch signs the contract that Pearce holds out to her. Stratton has no problem becoming famous at Lynch’s expense if she defeats Lynch and is also signing.

5. Match
WWE Women’s World Championship
Singles Match
Rhea Ripley won against Raquel Rodriguez via pinfall after the Riptide.
Match time: 15:16
– During the match, Nya Jax came out of the audience and attacked Raquel Rodriguez, which ended the match.
– After the match, Nya Jax came into the ring and attacked Rhea Ripley.

This week’s edition of “Monday Night Raw” ends with the celebrating Nya Jax, who has dispatched the current Women’s World Championship holder and thus clearly communicated her intentions.
