Montreal Public Health announced on Wednesday that it had identified 13 confirmed cases of monkeypox in Montreal, out of a total of 15 cases in Quebec.
In addition, 14 suspected cases in the metropolis are still being analyzed, revealed the director of public health in Montreal, Dr. Mylène Drouin, on her Twitter account on Wednesday.

Remember that regarding twenty cases were under investigation at the start of the weekend, while 15 cases counted on the island were under analysis, so that the jumps recorded in Quebec and Montreal are not a surprise.
The Regional Public Health Department (DRSP) of Montreal had specified that the majority of cases had been reported among members of the male homosexual community of Montreal, aged between 30 and 55 years.
The Minister of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos, announced in a press release on Tuesday that the federal government would draw on its emergency reserves of the Imvamune vaccine in order to counter the spread of monkeypox.
Possible cases have also been reported in Ontario and British Columbia.
