Through a digital event, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and director Yoshitake Susuki revealed when the free update 1 of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak and all the content it will contain: new monsters, expanded anomaly quests, anomaly analysis quests, new cosmetics, and more.

When does free update 1 come out? Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (Ver. 11)?
All the players of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) will be able to update the game to version 11 at no cost on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
Due to time differences, you may receive the update on the evening of Tuesday, August 9.
new monsters
- Nargacuga Lunar: this monster did not appear in the series since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate in 2013. He is a more agile and aggressive version of Nargacuga that can refract the moonlight to make himself invisible.
- Bazelgeuse Magma: A flying monster that players of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne we know well. It has constantly active explosive scales that turn the battlefield into a minefield.
- Golden Rathian and Silver Rathalos: another known pair. These are much more dangerous and resistant versions of Rathian and Rathalos. Capcom announced that this time they have new movements that differentiate them even more and that will offer a challenge.
New stage: Forgotten Arena
This is the place where we will face Lunar Nargacuga.
Anomaly analysis and expanded anomaly survey missions
The endgame of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakin which we face afflicted monsters to obtain materials that allow us to upgrade weapons to level 10, will be expanded with free update 1. To start, A5★ Difficulty Anomaly Missions Arrive. In these we will have new afflicted monsters like Lunagaron and Almudron Magma and they will be unlocked by completing investigations of abnormality analysis.
These investigations will have a defined level and as the level increases, the monsters become stronger. These randomly generate circumstances such as objectives, location, and maximum number of players.
In addition to unlocking the A5★ difficulty Anomaly missions, Free Update 1 Anomaly Analysis Researches provide special materials to upgrade your weapons and equipment in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
The new upgrades require you to use the Craftswoman Qurio and allow you to improve specific parameters such as attack power or affinity. We can also get materials with the new Anomaly Analysis Laboratory, in which we can exchange objects obtained in these investigations.
The rank and level of these missions and analyzes will increase with each new game update.
New event quests
From the August 18, 2022 (night of August 17 for us) we will be able to download new missions weekly. We’ll even have high-difficulty ‘dual threat’ missions.
