More like a car shock absorber.. Inventing a new device that relieves severe knee pain

It’s the most common form of arthritis.. Osteoarthritis of the knee, treatment often requires major surgery and months of hospitalization. But a new device eliminates pain in some patients and helps them delay or even avoid a total knee replacement.

Dr. David Flanigan, of Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, says that 90% of patients who received the device in his hospital experienced improvement in knee function and reduced pain.
