The National Airports Office (ONDA), reported that Ouarzazate airport welcomed a total of 13,684 passengers during the first two months of 2023.
A press release from the Office specifies that this volume of passenger traffic represents a recovery rate of 85% compared to the same period of 2019, during which this airport had welcomed 16,084 travelers.
Ouarzazate airport recorded, in the month of February alone, 7,941 passengers, i.e. a recovery rate of 99% compared to the same month of 2019 (8,047 passengers).
This airport platform thus occupied the 13th place at the national level in terms of commercial air traffic for the period January-February 2023 and the 1st position in the Drâa-Tafilalet region.
At the national level, the airports of the Kingdom recorded, during the month of February 2023, a volume of commercial traffic of 1,871,095 passengers and 14,432 airport movements, again according to ONDA, which notes that these figures represent an evolution of traffic passengers by 11% and an aircraft movement recovery rate of 98%, compared to the same period of 2019.
Domestic air traffic recorded 179,406 passengers during the month of February, with a recovery rate of 93% compared to the same period of 2019, while international air traffic recorded 1,691,689 passengers. during the same month, i.e. an increase of around 13% compared to the same period of 2019.
