Walid Rekraki, coach of the Moroccan national football team, confirmed that his compatriot Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, the striker of Al Ittihad club, has no place in the current squad, noting that he has many options in the offensive line.
The Atlas Lions coach had announced his list that will face Chile and Paraguay at the end of this month in Barcelona and Seville, which witnessed the return of Hakim Ziyech, the Chelsea star, and the continued absence of Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah.
Speaking at the press conference after the list was announced, the Moroccan coach said: “I spoke with Abdel Razzaq Hamdallah, who was suspended for 4 months and we were waiting for the end of this punishment. He played a match 4 days ago with his team against Al Raed, but there are many options in the offensive line and for me Abdul Razzaq has no place at the moment.”
The Morocco coach added: “I preferred to call only 4 strikers, Ayoub Al Kaabi, Rayan Mayi, Youssef Al-Nusairi and Walid Shdeira, and as I told Abdel Razzaq, there are many players who deserve to play with the national team and the door is open to everyone.”
He continued, “This is a preliminary squad, and I have not yet decided on the final squad. There is a backbone and we will judge the players by their behavior on the field and their performance with their teams, and we will not wrong any player.”
