Morocco. Foreign direct investment up 56% at the end of March

According to the Foreign Exchange Office, the net flow of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) reached 3.86 billion DH at the end of March, up 56% compared to the same period in 2021.

The Foreign Exchange Office specifies in its recent note on the monthly indicators of foreign trade, that FDI receipts recorded an increase of 7.8% totaling 6.74 billion DH at the end of March 2022 against 6.25 billion DH at the end of March 2021. The same source adds that expenses fell by 23.8%.

For its part, the net flow of Moroccan Direct Investments Abroad (IDME) stood at 4.5 billion DH at the end of the first three months of the year 2022, posting a drop of 15% compared to the same period of the previous year. Similarly, concerning the disposals of these investments, they concerned an amount of 3.39 billion dirhams, down 12.6%. The Office also indicates that the net flow of IDMEs fell by 21.5%.
