As part of the national vigilance and epidemiological surveillance system, and in application of its communication policy, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection announces to the public that a confirmed case of Monkeypox, or monkey pox , was registered in Morocco in a foreign citizen,” the ministry said in a statement, adding that this is an imported case.

The ministry explains that the first elements relating to the patient’s state of health indicate that he is “in good health, that his condition remains stable and does not cause any concern”. The patient is cared for in accordance with the health procedures adopted in this area, notes the press release.

And to add that the teams of the national and regional centers of public health emergency operations and the rapid intervention teams ensure the delimitation of contact cases in order to submit them to medical control and take preventive measures in accordance with the standards. national and international health security.

According to the ministry, this is the third confirmed case of Monkeypox in Morocco since the first case recorded on June 2.
