Although there were no outstanding figures in the Institute this Sunday in the goalless draw against Sarmiento, two or three players stood out above the rest. One of those who passed the first exam was defender Leonel Mosevich, from the Paraná Board of Trustees and who took the position held until recently by Ezequiel Parnisari (he went to the bank).
The defender looked firm, won most of the duels and earned the applause of the people for going to each ball with “the knife between his teeth.”
This Tuesday after practice at La Agustina, he spoke with Mundo D and left his feelings about the debut: “That is my style, I go like this to each ball. Happy personally. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a court where your breath makes you feel like that. The court climate was greatly missed.”
And he added: “Although we wanted to leave the three points at home, the important thing was that we were able to score and play a good game. Defensively we were very solid and firm, which was what was not noticed with Colón”.
About the internal fight with the rest of the defenders for a place in the first team, he explained that “this is a healthy competition. We have two or three players per position. Whoever is better will play”.
Later, he returned to focus on what was experienced on Sunday in the stands of the Monumental and recounted: “Everything moved me. The people here are very passionate, I tried to live it calmly. It is a very nice club, a great one that needed to be in the first division to continue growing ”.
On the other hand, Mosevich stressed that he sees the group as good and remarked that “there are guys with a lot of desire, who fought hard to compete in the first division. I think we’re going to be fine.”
Regarding the lack of depth that Gloria showed against Sarmiento, he maintained that these are normal issues at this stage of the championship and that they will correct with the dates: “In the second half we ran out of rhythm, but it is normal. As the games go by we’re going to loosen up, we’re going to get to know each other and we’re going to be better”.
Lastly, he referred to Unión de Santa Fe, who drew this Monday goalless with Banfield and will be Instituto’s next rival on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. on the “Tatengue” court.
