An operation of mosquito control is scheduled for the night of Thursday 20 to Friday 21 July in the Neuhof district of Strasbourg, near Schulmeister park. A case of dengue was identified in a person who had recently traveled to a tropical country.
A case of dengue in a person returning from abroad
The operation is intended, indicates the ARS, the regional health agency, to destroy and prevent the proliferation of tiger mosquitoes, potentially carriers of the disease. The ARS recommends preventive measures against bites: wearing long clothes, mosquito nets, or spray or cream repellents as well as electric diffusers.
