Tiruvalla: The police confirmed that the newborn baby found dead in the bathroom in Tiruvalla was murdered. The child’s mother Neetu (21), a native of Mallapally, was arrested. Neetu told the police that she was killing the child by continuously pouring water on his face.
Neetu, who is unmarried, gave birth last Friday at her residence in Chumatra. The post-mortem report conducted at Kottayam Medical College stated that the baby had died due to water entering his nose. The woman had stated that the child belonged to her boyfriend, a native of Thrissur.
