A podium which allows him to achieve a statistic from Marc Marquez, becoming the youngest driver to reach the podium twice in a row in the premier category. The eight-time world champion had performed such a feat on the same circuit, eleven years earlier, and was then aged 20 years and 63 days.

The Grand Prix of the Americas saw neither Jorge Martin nor Francesco Bagnaia take to the box, with both Ducati riders finishing in fourth and fifth positions. It is the first MotoGP podium without the two rivals since last year’s Americas GP.
