The 2022 MotoGP Round 5 Portuguese GP final race was held on Sunday, April 24th at the Algarve Circuit, where Fabio Quartararo won his first victory of the season.
In dry conditions with a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and a road surface temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, Fabio Quartararo on the 5th grid, who had advanced to 1st place at the fastest pace in warm-up driving, jumped out to 2nd place at the start, and on the 4th lap. Joan Mir on the 2nd grid scored a hole shot and led the race to the 3rd lap, running 2nd from the 4th lap. Jack Miller on the 4th grid fell for the second time on the weekend and the third time this season in the first corner of the 19th lap when he tried to move up to 3rd. Two people fell and retired after involving the mill located on the out side.

Point leader Enea Bastianini retreated to 4th place overall, 8 points behind.
