MotoGP start 2023 on FreeTV and Stream

The longest GP season in history begins next weekend with the «Grande Prémio Tissot de Portugal». The introduction of the MotoGP sprints on Saturday afternoon also ensures “more MotoGP than ever”, according to the slogan of World Championship promoter Dorna.

Attention: The new format brought some changes to the schedule. In addition, there is a one-hour time difference to Portugal in Central Europe.

In terms of TV broadcasting, everything will remain as usual in 2023: ServusTV will show all qualifying sessions and the new sprint of the MotoGP class live on FreeTV in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Saturday, followed by the three races on Sunday – flanked by detailed preliminary reports, analyzes and interviews

A TV alternative to the Austrian private broadcaster is only available in Switzerland: SRF, however, is only dedicated to the premier class and broadcasts the sprint on Saturday and the MotoGP race on Sunday.

The full streaming offer

On the video and streaming platform ServusTV On not only is the ServusTV program available in German, for users in Austria all the action from Friday onwards (all training sessions, qualifying sessions and races) can be seen in the live stream with the original English commentary.

Immediately after each broadcast, all qualifying sessions and races are also available as videos for viewing (also only in Austria for legal reasons).

If the TV rights allow transmission in Austria as well as in Germany, the ServusTV stream with German commentary can also be accessed as usual by users with an IP address from Germany – i.e. for qualifying sessions and races of all classes.

By the way: The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup races can also be seen on ServusTV On, on Saturday at 5 p.m. and on Sunday at 9.40 a.m.

The Dorna live stream is available as a paid alternative motogp.com accessible. The subscription for the entire 2023 season costs 139.99 euros. Live timing is also included for EUR 148.99.

All sessions with English commentary are available live and on demand on the official website. There are also numerous videos with interviews and insights behind the scenes of the MotoGP World Championship. The archive also contains all GP races since 1992.

DAZN currently no longer offers MotoGP, but the streaming service has secured the German online rights in recent years at very short notice.
