Motorola unveiled the new Moto G Play phone at an attractive price of $150.
The phone comes with a 50-megapixel rear camera, a Snapdragon 680 processor, 64 GB internal storage, and a 6.5-inch screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate.
The new phone is scheduled to be launched in the United States on February 8. The phone features a 5,000 mAh battery and IP52 technology to protect against dust and water.
In a stunning presentation, Motorola unveiled the Moto G Play 2024 phone, which is priced at $150, and the price is still considered its most prominent feature.
Although many have accused Motorola of releasing many cheap and largely similar phones, this year’s phone comes with many new features. These increases include a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 6nm Snapdragon 680 processor, and the storage capacity has doubled compared to its predecessor.
The Moto G Play 2024 still retains a 6.5-inch LCD display and an average resolution of 720p (1600 x 720). The device runs on Android 13 from the start, and comes with an internal storage capacity of 64 GB and supports microSD cards up to 1 TB.
The phone’s rear camera contains a 50-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens aperture and HDR technology. The phone also records video at 1080p (or 720p) at 30 frames per second. On the front side, there is an 8-megapixel sensor.
The new Moto G Play has a 5,000 mAh battery (estimated to last “up to 46 hours”) and supports 15W fast charging. This year’s model adds Dolby Atmos support for the speakers, and is certified for High Definition Audio when used with compatible wired headphones. The phone is also rated IP52 to protect against dust and water.
The Moto G Play is scheduled to launch in the US on February 8 for $150. Motorola says it will be available through its website, Amazon, and Best Buy. Meanwhile, Canadian users can purchase it a little earlier, on January 26, from select carriers and local resellers.
