In the leading ski department in France (40.1% of skier days from 2018 to 2023 according to Domaines skiables de France), where a ski museum worthy of the name is still lacking, the quest of the Beaufortaine association Epoq’ skiing will delight more than one person.
These enthusiasts began their painstaking work more than eleven years ago, before forming an association in August 2021 with the project of a museum, heritage and cultural space. During visits to the Alps, the Vosges, the Jura… they collected or were given skis, shoes, clothing and documents, and even oral testimonies.
