Mountaineer and filmmaker Denis Bertholet died last Friday at Martigny hospital, his family said overnight from Monday to Tuesday. He was 92 years old.

This mountain guide from Montreux devoted himself to his passion for the summits from his adolescence, write his relatives in a press release. In particular, he has traveled to the Himalayas on several occasions, where he has shot various films.
He also founded the La Fantastique ski school and guide office in Verbier in the 1970s, before building schools in Nepal a few years later.
