26-year-old Muhammad Ashiq attacked the theater staff at his house in Kuranthara East, Kulasekharapuram, Punnakulam. It was held at a theater in a private mall in Karunagappally. Mohammad Ashiq was sitting on a seat booked by someone else to watch a movie in the theatre. When the theater staff asked Mohammad Ashiq to move to another seat, he was abusive and aggressive. The accused came out of the theater and took out the knife he was carrying. Three employees were stabbed. The police immediately reached the spot and arrested Muhammad Ashiq. The police have registered a case of attempted murder. The injured theater staff sought treatment at the taluka hospital.
