Mr. Nasrallah: We are not a party to the negotiations..and ‘Al-Sabah is Rabah’

Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah told the Central Ashura Council in the southern suburbs of Beirut this evening, Sunday, that “Lebanon has a historic opportunity in the oil and gas file,” adding: “We have treasure in the sea, and there is a possibility that we will go to war.” Against the possibility of not going with that option, and today we are in a better position.”
Nasrallah continued, “There is a historic and golden opportunity to save the country, and this matter needs to be taken. Therefore, let us go to that risk, and we are ready to offer ourselves and our loved ones to protect our country and our people.”
And he added: “All we want in the gas and oil file is to help our country and give the state elements of strength in the negotiations. Tomorrow morning, the American mediator Amos Kokstein will have meetings with the three presidents. This is our responsibility.”
On Hezbollah’s question, “Who assigned you to defend Lebanon?” Sayyed Nasrallah said: “Leave me, God is responsible for me.”
He continued: “All our intention is to help the people and give the state an element of strength by negotiation, and tomorrow morning a profit, but we are not on the side to negotiate and we have not assigned anyone, and it is not our responsibility, but rather the responsibility of the state led by President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, and we will not interfere at all with the state’s decision, but we are an element of strength for a position.” The state, and there are those who say that Hezbollah wants to “pick up” the positive things in the demarcation file. We do not want to take advantage of the matter, but rather we want the state to exploit its resources.”
