MSI and ASRock introduce Z790 motherboards with Wi-Fi 7 and 5GbE networking solutions

MSI and ASRock revealed at the Computex 2023 as its new Z790 motherboards with support for next-generation networking technologies including Wi-Fi 7 and 5GbE LAN. The models should become available for purchase in the coming months.

MSI’s latest Z790 MAX series has been announced as the first motherboard to support Wi-Fi 7 and 5GbE LAN connectivity. The company will showcase a total of four motherboards utilizing the new MAX design, including the MEG Z790 ACE MAX.

Unfortunately, full details of other features and spec updates still remain unknown. MSI also showed firsthand its B650 Project Zero motherboard with connectors on the rear.

In turn, ASRock also announced its trio of motherboards supporting Wi-Fi 7 and 5GbE LAN connectivity. The company has three Phantom Gaming products and a new top-of-the-line model known as the NOVA, which looks pretty monstrous.

This new product has a fully covered PCB, 20+1+1 phase power supply, and an insane amount of connectivity. ASRock will also offer a new Taichi Lite series in Z790 and B650E versions.

There will also be more updated variants and some more basic products as well. The AMD B650 and A620 lines are also expected to be expanded with more affordable options. All details are expected to be revealed during the week at Computex 2023.
