Mudkip to star in April’s Classic Community Day

Thanks to the list of events for april 2022we already knew that Stufful will be starring in that month’s community day, but Niantic also has a “classic community day” lined up at Pokémon GO that will allow us to have fun catching the adorable Mudkip.

Mudkip first appeared in generation III and is one of the starter Pokémon of Pokémon Sapphire, Ruby and Emerald. Since then he has become one of the fan favorites and the protagonist of dozens of memes.

What is the date of the Mudkip Classic Community Day in Pokémon GO?

This event will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. In addition to appearing more frequently during this period, Mudkip may appear in his ‘shiny’ version if we are lucky.

Remember that, according to the new Niantic policies, the community day will last only three hours, half of what it was lasting since 2020. This will continue to be the duration of this class of events from now on.

If we evolve a Marshtomp —which in turn is the evolution of Mudkip— before 7:00 pm on the classic community day, we will get a Swampert with the Hydro Cannon charged attack.

This move will have certain advantages in battles against trainers, gyms, and raids.

  • Trainer Battles: 80 power
  • Gyms and raids: 90 power
