The Department of Community Development in Abu Dhabi participated in the celebration of the anniversary of the International Day of Human Fraternity, which was approved by the United Nations to commemorate the signing of the Abu Dhabi Document for Human Fraternity on February 4, 2019 in the United Arab Emirates.
His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Head of the Department of Community Development, said: “The celebration of the International Day of Human Fraternity is an important opportunity to promote a culture of tolerance and human coexistence among all members of society and calls for prudence and wisdom in dealing with all human beings, so that a culture of peace, dialogue and coexistence prevail across different cultures and spectra. ».
His Excellency added that our wise leadership had a pioneering role in spreading the values ​​of peace and coexistence, and rejecting conflicts, to serve all humanity, pointing out that the UAE has an honorable record in spreading the concepts of tolerance and human coexistence at the level of the region and the world, so that our country has become today as a global capital for tolerance. Pointing out that the United Nations’ declaration that the fourth of February will be a day of human fraternity came in conjunction with the signing of the Human Fraternity Document in Abu Dhabi in 2019 with the most prominent religious leaders in the world, and it is an international celebration of the emirate’s pioneering role in achieving human fraternity.
