A multiple accident with at least 15 cars involved, on the I-95 highway in Volusia County, left several dead and forced the closure of a sector of the important road, this Thursday morning.
WESH-TV reported that the crash occurred along I-95 near the city of Edgewater, with one crash in the southbound lanes and four crashes in the northbound lanes.
The Florida Highway Patrol said three people were killed in the multiple crashes and several people were taken to the hospital, including a child who was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident. Volusia County was under a dense fog warning in the morning.
