Mayor of Kfar Yona, Albert Tayeb, highlighted ongoing safety concerns regarding the lack of protective barriers at bus stops along the affected road. He stated that local authorities had previously raised these concerns with the state-owned road infrastructure company, Netivei Israel, but were informed that such posts “are not safe.”

The incident occurred on Road 57. Authorities have identified the owner of the vehicle as an Israeli citizen. The Kan News channel reports that investigators are examining whether the vehicle was stolen and if the attack was premeditated.
