Murder in Nice: The 64-year-old who killed his son-in-law had left a handwritten note – “He threatened that blood would be spilled” – 2024-03-03 18:13:29

George Kalliakmani, the 64-year-old who killed his son-in-law in Nikaia and then committed suicide, had left a handwritten note, according to the president of the union of police officers of SE Attica.

“Inside the car was found a note in which he said he was leaving the car and everything inside to his sister’s son-in-law. He had been in Athens since the 23rd of the month and the police believe that he might have been sleeping in the car. Maybe he had rehearsed, maybe he had gone to the scene again but he didn’t get the chance to kill his son-in-law,” said Mr. Kalliakmanis speaking to Live News.

“He was watching us and threatening that blood would be spilled” – Shocks the victim’s wife

“He was watching us and threatening us with bloodshed, who do I hold accountable?” shocks Alexandra Tsoukia, wife of the 39-year-old man who was killed by his father-in-law in Nice.

“They had taken him to the psychiatric center and while we had given statements about how abusive he was, they called us from the psychiatric hospital and told us that he has no problem and will be discharged. I tell them “he has threatened that blood will be spilled” and they replied that he does not have a problem”, shocks Mrs. Tsoukia.

“Doesn’t anyone have a problem with this man who destroyed our family? From whom should I ask for responsibility who was walking around free? We also told the police. I don’t know who let this man out. It’s the only reason I came out. Who do I hold accountable?” he repeats, unable to believe what has happened.

“I was hit by shrapnel. If my son was together what would happen? Because someone signed that this man is fine? And they called me. My husband was 39 years old and a very good man,” she says with tears in her eyes.
