During the active manhunt, authorities characterized Johnson as “cunning” and a “master manipulator,” repeatedly warning individuals against assisting her evasion.

Arrests and Ongoing Legal Proceedings

As the primary murder case moves forward, law enforcement agencies have cast a wider net over individuals allegedly linked to the crime. Five other suspects—identified as Michael Ray White, Kathleen Morris, Bobbi Wagstaff, Martin Leaverton, and Sandra Leaverton—have already been arrested and charged with accessory to a capital felony after the fact.
