ISLAMABAD: Mushal Hussain Mullick, wife of Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik, is an adviser to Pakistan’s caretaker cabinet. She will act as an advisor to Prime Minister Anwarul Haque Kakar. Geo TV reports that she will also advise the Prime Minister on issues such as human rights and women’s empowerment.
Yasin Malik, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front commander and Mushal’s husband, is currently serving a life sentence in Tihar Jail. Yasin Malik was convicted in a case of financing terrorism. Both of them got married in 2009 in Pakistan. Top political leaders from Pakistan participated in the wedding ceremony.
The 18-member caretaker cabinet headed by Anwarul Haque Kakar took oath in Pakistan last day. He will continue as Prime Minister until the general elections are held. The caretaker cabinet consists of 16 ministers and three advisers.
