Musician D4vd Arrested After Teen’s Body Found in His Tesla

Los Angeles police have arrested musician D4vd in connection with the death of a 13-year-old girl whose remains were found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to him.

The suspect, identified as David Burke, was taken into custody on Thursday and remains in jail without bail, according to a police statement. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Monday, when prosecutors will review the case.

Authorities said the vehicle, a Tesla, had been parked on a public street in Los Angeles for several weeks before being towed to a municipal impound lot in September. It was not reported as stolen.

Human remains were discovered inside the car on September 8, one day after the girl would have turned 15. The victim has been identified as Celeste Rivas Hernández, who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in 2024.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the arrest but did not disclose the specific evidence linking Burke to the case, stating that details would be presented to prosecutors ahead of the hearing.

Burke, known professionally as D4vd, has collaborated with artists including Kali Uchis, Laufey, and 21 Savage, and has had multiple songs chart on Billboard’s Hot 100 and alternative music charts.

The case remains under active investigation, with no further comments from police or the district attorney’s office as of Thursday evening.
