Having bought the whole wonderful thing on September 22nd, by nightfall we had 14 iPhones in our hands, 4 coveted iPhone 15 pro max 256 gb Natural Titanium and 10 iPhone 15 pro 256, the same color, we packed the whole thing in our bags, we thought, we’ll take it in hand luggage, but at the Airport I had to go to the toilet, while there, I made a decision – “We have a victory, we need luggage” – then something went wrong, there were 8 iPhones in one bag, the other was just poor 6, in the one that 8 everything was folded neatly, and in the one that 6 they were packed in clothes and it was very difficult to get them
Flight at 8:30 on September 23, 2023, we checked our bags into Pobeda luggage, flight DP 992, departing from DWC (Al Maktoum airport, poor and small Dubai airport – I don’t recommend it), nothing foreshadowed trouble, we arrived in Vnukovo a little earlier as expected, at about 12:30 in the morning, we went to pick up our luggage and then – we didn’t expect what happened, after taking the luggage, we discovered that the weight of my backpack (which contained 8 iPhones) had become much less, then I start checking and I discover that shampoo has been spilled in my backpack, which was in a locked bag from Tinkoff All Airlines and I understand that something must have gone wrong.
I don’t find my beautiful overpriced 8 iPhones in the bag, we check the second one – we don’t find them either (later they were found, the bag was turned over, but the things were not taken apart – in total they were not found)
I immediately reported to Baggage Search, where they told me that of course they would help, I also called the police on number 102 and reported that things had been stolen from my luggage, they told me that comrades from the Ministry of Internal Affairs would come right away (which they didn’t happened even after 30 minutes), KUSP, by the way, 2429, after drawing up the report (the number of telephones in it is incorrect, but we corrected it at the police, in fact 8 were stolen, we think that this is Vnukovo, immediately after LostandFind we go to Terminal D, the old one, where the Police are located, we were met by a respected policeman, who introduced himself as employees of the Criminal Investigation Department, who, when accepting our statement, said many times that it was stolen, after all, in Dubai, with a probability of 99%, because everything is filmed in Vnukovo in several circles, in total, our application was accepted – upon viewing the cameras, they discovered that the luggage was considered opened after check-in, i.e., opened between the time I handed it over to DWC and the time it was taken out of the plane already at VKO ( Vnukovo)
I immediately went to Pobeda, after the application was drawn up, the application was left, they told me – “We can’t help you with anything, write to the site”
Total at the moment (almost two days have passed) I have: a loss of 1.4 million rubles at the Central Bank exchange rate, ignored by Pobeda Airlines
What I plan to do and what to do for those who are faced with the same thing:
1. Download the Dubai Police app, file a report through it if something was stolen in Dubai – this is a good option
2. File a claim with AK Pobeda, which I plan to do, because there is no answer to my appeal and there won’t be one. On the call I was told to contact the police, but the police are making fun of me by saying that there will never be a solution – theft is not on the territory RF
Today, September 24, I also found another similar case in one of the chats; 4 iPhones were stolen on the same flight, at the same airport, in the same way.
