“My father educated five generations, but not his children…”: Catalina Guerra’s crude confession about Jorge Guerra, “Pin Pon”

During the night of this Sunday, Catalina Guerra and her mother, Gloria Münchmeyer, will be invited to a new chapter of Todo por ti, a space hosted by Cecilia Bolocco.

And on the occasion, both actresses will remember their deceased father and husband, respectively, Jorge Guerra, who played the child character “Pin Pon” and who abandoned them when Catalina was only two years old.

“I have no memories of my dad and my mom together. I only saw my dad three times. Since we never had a TV, I didn’t watch it, we just went out on the balcony and listened to ‘Pin Pon’ singing his songs (from the neighbor’s TV)”, the actress recalled.

In addition, in the midst of her confessions, she will say that it was very difficult for her to reconcile with him, something that she could only do when she was already an adult. She’ll even, she’ll drop a stark revelation.

“It was super hard to understand…”

“I went through a long process of being very angry with my dad. It was super difficult to understand him, to forgive him. It is super crazy to think that a father who left his children is also ‘Pin Pon’, so he educated five generations of Chileans, but not his children, ”she will relate.

On the other hand, he will also address the popular acclaim for the actor during his funeral, in 2009. In fact, he will say that from there he learned to deal with that situation.

“There I understood that he did not come to be our father, but to leave a legacy for this country, a mission that was much more important than being my father. I got the bad luck of being his daughter, ”she will complement.

About her ex-husband, Gloria will remember that she met him working in the Ictus theater company, and he fell in love immediately.

“He was very attractive, very seductive,” she will indicate about the actor, with whom she was married until 1971. “He left with a girl younger than me and I was left in charge of the family. It was hard because of the feeling that you have to drive that boat by yourself, without sharing responsibility”, Münchmeyer will finish off on the subject.
