After 30 years, the musician leaves the folk band. In a live Instagram he told the reasons for his decision: he denied conflicts and assured that he will not be a soloist.
The singer from Salta Kike Teruel advertisement his departure from Los Nocheros a few days after its presentation at the traditional National Folklore Festival of Cosquín. This will put an end to a bond that spanned more than 30 years.
As he explained in an Instagram live with his followers, the decision was made a long time ago and he had communicated it to the group three months ago. She also anticipated that she will fulfill all the commitments made until May and ruled out starting a solo career now.
“There are many rumors about my departure from the Los Nocheros group. And it’s true,” confirmed Cesar Adolfo Teruel in a first video published on his networks, in which he invited to participate in a live on his Instagram account where he answered the questions of His Followers.
“It’s a nice moment for me“, said the musician when he started on the social network and that gave him the opportunity to deny that his departure is linked to personal problems or with his colleagues, something that he was in charge of remarking several times during more than 20 minutes that the transmission lasted.
“My colleagues have known about my decision for a long time, it is not from now, we had agreed that I was going to announce it for this date. I am leaving in one of the best moments of my life and of the group,” he explained and thanked the followers. As he later recounted, the notice of the decision he had made was given three months ago.
“It’s that: I’m leaving because I’m fine. It’s weird to hear it like that. The people who know us know that we are fine, this energy, this good vibes cannot be invented, it cannot be falsified. And in this I thank you”, he continued to destroy the rumors of differences within the folkloric group.
The singer also said that does not plan to pursue a solo career and he attributed his decision, in part, to the fact that he no longer had new ideas to contribute to the group. “My mission to sing is already done,” he affirmed forcefully. In any case, he later clarified that he does not rule out writing a new song in the future or doing any future participation as a guest in Los Nocheros.
“I want to take off the ‘nochero’ chip and put on another one,” added Teruel, who confirmed that on Wednesday he will sing with the band and that he will fulfill the commitments made in March and April. “I sing in Cosquín and in all the festivals planned,” he insisted. .
So far, not even his brother Mario Teruel – with whom he founded the group almost 30 years ago – and neither Álvaro Martín and Rubén Ehizaguirre have yet expressed themselves.
In November 2013, he had also announced his departure to take a “sabbatical year” to settle in Spain with his son and crown his temporary farewell with one last show at the Teatro Gran Rex on Corrientes street.
“I always thought about it, but I saw it as impossible because I was always completely involved in my business; but I spoke to the boys from Los Nocheros and told them that I needed time, and they told me ‘take what you need'”, he explained at that time .
