Myst game is redesigned and gets a free version for iPhones and iPads

They say that classic that is classic never dies — and that seems to be the case with Mysta game that, despite being originally released in 1993, is still remastered and re-released several times on different platforms.

To the sadness of many, the most recent version of the game — which was re-released in 3D at the end of 2020 for the Oculus headset line and for other platforms (including Macs) in 2021 — had not yet been made available for mobile devices.

That, until now, since the game returned to App Store in a named version of Myst Mobile. The game has been reworked from the ground up and features real-time 3D graphics, new art, new sounds, and even recreated interactions.

Best of all, the re-release of Myst on iOS comes with an unprecedented (and positive) detail: you can download it for free and explore the much-missed Myst Island — which is a good starting point if you just want to “test” the game.

To explore the other Ages of Myst, it is necessary to spend R$55 — which is a promotional value, as it will cost 33% more without the discount. Just by way of comparison, the game is selling for R$170 in the Mac App Store.

Myst Mobile can be downloaded on any iPhone or iPad that has the A12 Bionic chip or newer, as well as on all iPads with M1 or M2 chips — basically devices released from 2018 by Apple.

Remember that a previous version of Myst has been available on the App Store for iPhones since 2009. Although it can still be downloaded (for R$28), this version now takes “legacy” in its title, to make it clear to users that this is an old version.
