Since the beginning of the year and until the end of April 2023, the number of visitors to the governorate of Nabeul has reached nearly 135,000 tourists, an increase of 40% compared to the same period last year.
The region also recorded an increase of around 60% in terms of overnight stays, the number of which reached nearly 350,000 overnight stays, “which announces a good tourist season”, indicated, Monday to the media, the commissioner regional tourism office in Nabeul, Wahid Ben Fraj.
For his part, the regional commissioner for tourism in Hammamet, Khaled Kalouia said that the number of arrivals at the seaside resort Yasmine Hammamet, during the month of April 2023, increased by 165%, or regarding 38 thousand tourists. , while the number of nights spent during the same month improved by 118% to reach 121,000 nights.
He explained that the tourist resort of Yasmine Hammamet experienced, from the beginning of the year until the end of April, the arrival of more than 141 thousand visitors, a growth rate of 20.4%, and the increase 51% of the number of nights, i.e. more than 397,000 nights spent.
