The Egyptian actress, Nadia El-Gendy, revealed the reason for her absence from cinematic works during the last period, noting that most of the topics currently presented in the drama are “superficial” and below their artistic level.
During her hosting of a television program, Al-Jundi considered all the artworks that she presented during her career “good and of value,” indicating her inability to compromise her rich history, and the level and artistic and literary value that she presented to the public.
As for the reasons for her distancing herself from dramas and not participating in the upcoming Ramadan season, Al-Jundi said: “All the dramatic topics are superficial and there is no enthusiasm in them, and I will not accept less than the level of drama that the audience is accustomed to.”
