A fire in a forest area in the Terpsithea area of Nafpaktia occurred on Saturday followingnoon.
Strong firefighting forces immediately rushed to the area with 30 firefighters and 1 group of pedestrians from the 6th EMODE, 10 vehicles and a helicopter.
According to local media, the fire broke out in an old landfill.
With the immediate intervention of the fire brigade, the fire was contained to the first stage without reaching dangerous proportions.
