The motive of all those detained for acts of terrorism on the railway is self-interest. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs – the head of the criminal police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Gennady Kazakevich.
According to him, more than 80 cases of terrorist attacks on the Belarusian railway have been uncovered. The suspects have been detained.
Kazakevich added that the organizers of the crimes are foreign extremist centers and formations.
“What I especially want to emphasize is that the motive of the perpetrators is exclusively selfish. The last two facts indicate that they receive money for these actions,” – said Gennady Kazakevich.
He connected the activity of criminals with the desire to shake up the situation inside the country. The situation in Ukraine is used as an information occasion. Kazakevich stressed that Belarusians do not support such activities, and assists in solving such crimes.
According to him, the security forces could have shot the criminals, but only wounded them and did not let them die from blood loss. Now they are being treated, and at the trial they will tell everything about their deeds.
Kazakevich said that the Bypol extremist formation is still openly calls Belarusians to commit terrorist attacks. In fact, terrorist cells are being formed on the territory of the republic.
