British supermodel Naomi Campbell has posed publicly with her baby for the first time, ditching rumors of a possible adoption. “She’s not adopted – she’s my child,” Campbell told British Vogue, for whose cover she posed with her young daughter.
The 51-year-old holds her naked baby tightly in her arms so that the child can be seen in profile. Last May, Campbell – then 50 – announced on Instagram that he had become a mother. After that, there was speculation as to whether her daughter was adopted or a biological child, possibly with the help of artificial insemination.
The model didn’t want to reveal any details to the magazine – preferring to tell regarding her happiness as a mother. She is currently persuading friends to still become mothers despite their advanced age, she said. When asked if she wanted more children of her own, Campbell told the magazine, “Why not?”
Once the first black model to make the cover of Vogue, Campbell continues to champion diversity in fashion.
