Two weeks after his launch, the James Webb Space Telescope is fully deployed in space, NASA reported.
“The final wing is now deployed,” the US space agency wrote on its Twitter account, announcing that they are now working “to secure the wing in place,” a process that will take “several hours.”
The scientific community hopes that the new space telescope, the largest, most expensive and powerful in history, will help shed light on the mysteries of our solar system, as well as clarify unknowns about the structure and origin of the universe.
