NASA announced Friday that it plans to make another launch attempt for its Artemis I lunar mission next Wednesday.

This test will allow teams to confirm the repair of a hydrogen leak observed during a second launch attempt in early September, evaluate updated propellant loading procedures and conduct additional assessments, according to the US space agency.

Artemis I is an uncrewed mission around the Moon that will pave the way for a crewed flight test and then future human lunar exploration under the Artemis program.

NASA had canceled its first Artemis I launch attempt on August 29 due to an engine purge problem, as well as a second attempt on September 3 due to a hydrogen leak.
