NASCAR: a driver beaten by a rival

by Alexandra Hartman Editor-in-Chief

Tempers flared Saturday at a stock car race in the Nascar Roots class in Martinsville, Virginia.

Driver Andrew Grady, believing he was a victim of the on-track behavior of his opponent Davey Callihan, tried to have a good discussion with the latter once the event was over.

Unfortunately, Callihan allegedly gave him an elegant middle finger, which infuriated Grady:

“I have it Mike Tyson the head”, he launched to a journalist of Racing Americafollowing the incident.

Callihan, he says, purposely took him out of the ordeal.

“We were very good, the car was fast, but there are these idiots who come here to race with us, and who have no business there,” he explained.

“He wasn’t even close to me. He dived inside. He hooked me and took out another runner at the same time, he added. I wanted to talk to him and he gave me the finger of honor!”
