Great performance from HC Ajoie! The day following their defeat in Lugano, the men of Pesan subdued Fribourg-Gottéron (4-2). Lausanne signed a good victory on penalties in Davos (3-4).
A Tim Wolf on fire in the added cage plunged Gottéron into doubt. The players of Dubé probably did not imagine scoring a point following two days having met Ambri-Piotta and Ajoie. A half-mast attack – despite a 46-25 shooting statistic in favor of the Fribourgeois – precipitated the defeat.
The Ajoulots have always led in this game. Leduc and Devos gave a two-goal lead. Bertschy reduced the score well but Frossard scored the crucial 3-1 (27th). If Friborg was able to come back on a shot from Walser (47th), Macquat ensured success in the empty cage.
Double from Kovacs
Lausanne did not return empty-handed from Davos. However, John Fust’s players had to erase a disbursement of two goals following a rather catastrophic start (2-0 following 6′). A double from the Swede Robin Kovacs made it possible to return to the level of the Davosiens. The Vaudois once more came back to score by Damien Riat in the 52nd. On penalties, Riat and Kovacs struck.
