After negotiations with the security forces, which were led by Representative Melhem Khalaf, a number of people began to leave the inner courtyard of the Palace of Justice, vowing to continue the movements and that their case would not die, calling on officials and judges to arbitrate their consciences. A spokesman for the people, William Noun, said that they were “satiated with talking and are waiting for a solution to their case, and that they no longer tolerate peaceful movements,” revealing that “a delegation from them will meet with the President of the Supreme Judicial Council to find a definitive solution, and that the meeting of the Judicial Council will be followed by a meeting that will be held by the people and activists from the community.” sympathetic to their cause.
A number of the protesters expressed their regret that they were “forced to stand up to the security forces,” stressing that the solution exists through the Court of Cassation’s meeting to reject the decision to stop the hand of the judicial investigator, Judge Tariq Al-Bitar.
