National: Posthumous Promotion of Murdered Police Officer during Proceedings in Quilpué Announced by General Yáñez.

Manuel Lema Olguin from UNO Agency reported that Sergeant Rita Olivares, who was murdered during a procedure in Quilpué, received a posthumous promotion to major warrant officer for her heroic action and commitment to the country. The General Director of Carabineros, Ricardo Yáñez, also announced the change of name of the El Belloto Tenancy to Suboficial Mayor Rita Olivares Rai Tenancy. President Gabriel Boric attended the response to bid farewell to the officer and offer condolences to her family. The funeral procession was later held at the Parque del Sendero Cemetery. Due to her vocation, commitment and dedication to the country, the general director of the Carabineros, Ricardo Yáñez, announced the posthumous promotion of Sergeant Rita Olivares, murdered during a procedure in Quilpué. President Gabriel Boric was present at the response held in Villa Alemana, who offered his condolences to the family of the official.

During the response that was made to dismiss the police officer murdered during a procedure in Quilpué, the general director of said institution announced the posthumous promotion of Sergeant Rita Olivares.

In this way, the official received the major warrant officer rank for his “heroic action of vocation, commitment and dedication for the homeland.

In addition, General Ricardo Yáñez announced the change of name of the El Belloto Tenancy to, in the next few days, be the Suboficial Mayor Rita Olivares Rai Tenancyor, as a memory and permanent testimony for the community.

“We will continue doing what we know how to respond to calls for help, take care of the public and do our best to meet what people need. That’s what Rita did throughout her career and that’s how she demonstrated it with her last sacrifice to the community”, highlighted the general director.

After the ceremony, the funeral procession left in the direction of the Parque del Sendero Cemetery, in Quilpué, where his burial will take place this afternoon.
