Lucknow – Lucknow Super Giants’ Afghan star Naveen Ul Haq has said that he has never gone there to sledge anyone during a cricket match. The Afghan player clarified his position in the video of the discussion between Naveen and Josht Khan released by Lucknow Super Giants. Josh Khan was asked if his favorite sledging was by himself or by others.
“I have not gone there to sledge anyone. It is not my habit. An incident occurred during first-class cricket. When I was at the non-strikers end, the player who was fielding in the slips of the opposite team asked for a quick end to the game. He wants to go home. He was recently married. That is one incident I remember,” Naveen clarified.
Naveen ul Haq says in the video that no serious incident has happened in sledging. Virat Kohli and Naveen ul Haq’s argument during the Lucknow-RCB match in IPL was a huge controversy. The footage emerged of Kohli pointing at Naveen-ul-Haq by peeling off the soil from the bottom of his shoe.
Naveen ul Haq stared at him for a while and argued with Kohli. Naveen responded after the match against Bangalore that he did not need to take anyone’s abuse and he came to India only to play cricket. The BCCI had fined Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq for the incident.
