In the NBA, the first two semifinalists of the In-Season Tournament have been announced. Indiana and New Orleans can pack their bags for Las Vegas, after victories against Boston and Sacramento respectively.

The In-Season Tournament is in its first edition and was created, among other things, to create more excitement in the first two months of the long NBA season.

And anyone who says tension was served last night. In a thrilling atmosphere that is usually reserved for play-off games, Indiana fought past Boston, the number 1 in the Eastern Conference.

Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton was the standout player in an intense match. With 26 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds, the Pacers playmaker was good for a triple-double in his team’s 122-112 win. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum had 32 points and 12 rebounds.

In the semifinals, New Orleans will face the winner of the game between the LA Lakers and Phoenix. That match will be played next night. The Indiana Pacers will meet Milwaukee or New York in Las Vegas.

The final of the very first In-Season Tournament will be played on December 9. Each player on the winning team will receive a check for $500,000.
