Cologne (SID) – Even 21 points from German basketball star Franz Wagner were not enough for Orlando Magic to win at the Brooklyn Nets in the North American professional league NBA. The Wagner team lost 102-109, with Franz Wagner being the third-best scorer on his team.
The outstanding player on the host side was superstar Kevin Durant, who had 45 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Franz Wagner contributed two rebounds and two assists in his 30:42 playing time. His brother Moritz had two points, five rebounds and an assist for Orlando.
The Boston Celtics beat the Charlotte Hornets 140-105. The Philadelphia 76ers fought back from a 16-point deficit and prevailed 104-101 against the Atlanta Hawks.
